Hey everyone, welcome back to Serenity in The Spirit and the final SiTS Advent post for 2018! Christmas is literally around the corner now and advent is going to end tomorrow so this will be a pretty short post…
That being said, I would like to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read the blog. This year has been incredible and I have been able to grow and developed so much. Simply working on this blog has taught me a lot about what it really means to live for Jesus and I hope that you have been blessed by the content. SiTS isn’t perfect and there is still a lot of work to do before the Serenity in The Spirit ministry reaches the standard I believe it can reach in Jesus’ name but I am so pleased with the progress thus far and I am incredibly proud of it.
Whilst this is the last post in the Advent 2018 series, I do plan on posting something just before the New Year perhaps about my goals or a summary of 2018. Please let me know if there is something in particular that you would like to see here.
Now, the final prayer and verse of the SiTS Advent Calendar 2018:
Sunday 23rd December 2018: PRAYER
Thank You for bringing us through 2018. For all of the joyful moments shared this year we thank You. For all the trials that You have helped us through and that have made us stronger, we thank You. I pray, Lord, over everyone who is reading this prayer and ask that You bless them. Let Your light shine on them and their families this Christmas. I pray for Your love to cover and protect them. For those who are physically alone this Christmas, please let them feel Your presence Lord. For those who are broken-hearted this Christmas, please lay your healing hands on them. We thank You for those who are able to spend this Christmas with joy, love and peace. I ask Lord that you equip us with everything we need to face the last few days of 2018 and the New Year of 2019. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
Monday 24th December 2018: VERSE
Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.
If you have been following the Advent Calendar, you will know that this verse has featured in a previous day’s scripture but I think it is important to remind ourselves of the reason for the season. Our Saviour was born and lived and died for us that we may have ever-lasting life.
So, thanks again for keeping up with the SiTS Advent Calendar. The full countdown can be found on the SiTS Instagram highlights, make sure you check it out if you missed anything.
Also, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the SiTS end of year post which will be with you all before the New Year!
