Sits Advent 2018 - Week 3

Hey guys, welcome back to Serenity in The Spirit!

This is the penultimate SiTS Advent 2018 post :( but I hope you’ve been enjoying reading/listening to/watching the content that the posts have featured. Let me know what your favourite day so far has been here.

Let’s jump straight into it, week 3 of SiTS Advent 2018:

Sunday 16th December 2018: PRAYER

Dear God,

Thank You for humbling Yourself and coming into this world as a human just like us. Thank You for dying on the cross to save us from our sin, Your love for us is so great and often beyond full comprehension. I pray that we are filled with this love that we may be able to show it to those around us. Lord please be our strength this week as we face any pressures from the Christmas season. I pray that as we get closer to Christmas we are able to enjoy and celebrate the reason for the season - Jesus Christ and all of the gifts we receive from accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour. Holy Spirit, be present this Christmas, live within us and our homes that we may have a Christmas time filled with peace, joy and love.

In Jesus' Name, Amen

Tuesday 18th December 2018: VERSE

Luke 2:8-12

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Wednesday 19th December 2018: SONG

Reuben Studdard – Centre of My Joy

Apple Music:

This is a song I am praying over myself and my friends and family especially for the new year. When we make God the centre, we are able to feel the joy of The Spirit even in hard times.

Thursday 20th December 2018: VIDEO

It’s Time to Be Audacious – Crowned In Faith

I really enjoyed watching this, as I do with many of Nia-Cerise’s videos. She speaks openly about being a Christian from the point of view of a young adult which is something that can be hard to find. I love how this video in particular shows that God can be found in every situation we find ourselves in. The video encourages us to be bold with our prayer requests, give it a go today!

Friday 21st December 2018: VERSE

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Saturday 22nd December 2018: SONG

I love this song!! I have been a big fan of CalledOut Music's songs for a while now and I love how his songs have their own sound. They're current and have a beautiful message that just encourages you to worship God for all He has done. Check out this song and his others, you will be blessed!
