Hey everyone, welcome back to Serenity in The Spirit – a Premier Digital Awards finalist for the ‘Up-and-coming’ award!!!
Wow, I don’t even know where to begin, I am honoured to be short-listed! Firstly, I would like to thank God for the content on this blog, I believe everything I write comes from Him. Thank you to Teddy (and anyone else who I am not aware of) who nominated me to win the award. It truly means a lot to me knowing the incredible support I have, from family, friends and readers.
The Premier Digital conference is something I have been looking forward to attending for a long time and to find out that SiTS is finalist and that I get to attend the award ceremony has been overwhelming! I feel so grateful and, to be honest, very proud of my growth in confidence. 15 year old me definitely did not believe that this would be possible so whatever the result may be I am truly thankful.
However, I would not like to focus too much on the awards. This post is also an update on what has been happening in the short time I’ve been away.
I am hoping to start posting regularly again on Mondays. For the past few weeks I have been getting ready to come back to uni for my final year (Please pray for me!) and this week has been the first week of lectures. I am enjoying my modules so far but I can tell that it’s going to take a lot of hard work to do well. I pray for all of us at university, whatever year you may be in, try to remember that God is with you. University is not an easy place to be a Christian but be encouraged – this makes it a great place to spread the Good News of Jesus to those who may not be aware.
This academic year, I would like to write a post or two about my experience with university lifestyle and Christian lifestyle particularly as this is the closest I have been to God since being at uni. Let me know if this is something you are interested in. I have also planned numerous posts and series’ to help you understand more about Christianity, Christian lifestyle and the Bible. I aim to become more transparent with my experiences as I think that is something young Christian’s lack. We often try to portray ourselves with few spiritual struggles and as sinless people but this is not the case. I am not perfect, and I sin a lot more than I would like to but I am working on it and I am made new in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) as are you when you believe.
So, to finish off, I am super excited for the new SiTS season and I hope you are too. As always if you have any comments/questions/suggestions for the blog please let me know here. You can follow SiTS on Instagram and Twitter where I hope to be posting more regular nuggets of guidance, advice and prayer.
Thank you for your patience so far, I haven’t fully worked everything out yet but with God’s guidance I pray SiTS will be a helpful and interesting ministry to both Christians and non-Christians alike, still with the aim of giving God glory and ultimately bringing you closer to Him.
