Peace in the Storm

Hey everyone and welcome back to Serenity in The Spirit!

The numbers speak for themselves. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that COVID-19 is bringing despair and increasing anxiety in the lives of many. However, in my quiet time the Lord reminded me that among the doom and gloom, we have hope.

Last weekend we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus. His resurrection shows that He is able to defy death and therefore, those that accept Him are not bound by it. The resurrection demonstrates the incredible power of our Lord and we can take comfort in the fact that our God is able to overcome something that is considered so final. This is our hope.

In addition to holding onto this hope, we are able to speak with Him who gives it to us. Prayer is an important part of our relationship with God and His Word tells us to make our requests known to Him (Philippians 4:6). As I said in my previous post, no miracle is too great for Him however, it can be hard to know exactly what to pray for in these circumstances. We are currently faced with a problem that has so many different elements it can seem overwhelming. In this post, I would like to share a few songs that may help give you some words to say to our Father in Heaven but not only that, provide you with comfort in this very difficult time.
