Hello everyone, welcome back to Serenity in The Spirit :)
It’s definitely socially too late to wish you a happy new year but I wish you one anyway! I hope 2019 has been treating you well. Either way, I think it’s important to give God glory for your life and also to praise Him in advance of what He will do to turn the not-so-great things around.
I know the SiTS blog has been quiet in 2019 but the overall ministry has not be silent! If you don’t already, please follow SiTS’ Instagram and Twitter to keep up to date, particularly as SiTS will be undergoing some exciting changes VERY SOON and I would hate for you to miss it! You could also take some time to catch up on the encouragement posted on Twitter where I have been tweeting some things that God laid on my heart and that you will hopefully find useful.
So, Rochelle, if you haven’t been writing blog posts, what have you been doing? I have been planning the future direction of SiTS and how best it can be used to serve God’s kingdom (the upcoming, exciting changes I mentioned earlier!!). I have also been nearly swamped with uni work – I have to thank God for keeping me afloat and giving me peace in my final term of final year, a time that is ordinarily very stressful for many students. God really is a provider of strength and I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you if you are struggling at the moment. Whether it is because of your workload or something else, God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
God has shown Himself to me countless times since the year began, not just in my academic life but in other areas too. I am also certain He has shown Himself to you too but I appreciate it can be something that is hard to recognise especially if 2019 has not gotten off to a good start for you. It is something I am still improving on, but taking time out to acknowledge God’s presence has truly changed my life. I will probably do a separate post about what God has done for me in 2019 thus far and hopefully it will help you to recognise God in your own lives.
I don’t want this to be a long post, it’s mainly just a reminder that SiTS is here and whilst I have not been posting I have been planning and praying. It is my prayer that SiTS is a ministry that brings people closer to God and into His kingdom. So, if you have any ideas/comments about SiTS and/or how it can help you (Christian or not), I would love to hear them. Let me know here or on any of our social media platforms. Of course, you can also let me know in person if we know each other personally too. Additionally, prayer requests are ALWAYS welcome via these avenues too.
Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the announcements and changes, I really pray that you are blessed by the work of SiTS in 2019 and beyond.
